Examiner of Plays' Summary:

A very crude but inoffensive production. A young naval lieutenant, staying in a boarding house, and unable to pay, is told he must either find other boarders or clear out he writes postcards to bachelors telling them an heiress is staying in the house. They come and take rooms, but he is on the point of being found out when an actress staying in the house pretends to be the heiress. There is also a runaway couple. After a great deal of amateurish silliness a detective arrives and announces that the heiress is dead and the lieutenant her heir and he of course marries the actress. As a matter of principle, though of course nothing will be heard of the piece, it might be directed that the lieutenant should not be in uniform, but I hardly think it matters. The songs must be sent if unpublished. Recommended for license. G. S. Street
