This is a florid Indian fairy-tale or legend, with part of its action laid in Heaven, to which its heroine, Irvasie, belongs, as Nymph, and part on Earth where the hero, Pururavas, is King [...] Of literary, rather than dramatic interest in its fierce and flowery expression of passion, which, as translated by Mr Das Gupta, seems void of offence.
