The Happy Ending
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
[...] A Judge, as he is going to bed, is confronted by a Convict, who with his revolver threatens vengeance for the ruin of his daughter when, years ago, she sacrificed her honour in order to secure a lighter sentence for her father. The Convict shoots the Judge; but the Stage Manager interferes, and brings on the daughter to announce the innocence of the dead man, whom he brings to life again, thus securing a "happy ending" appropriate to Revue. Recommended for licence. Ernest A. Bendall.
