Examiner of Plays' Summary:

This merry little farce illustrates the selfish blundering of a friend who, being called in to "cheer up" an invalid workman, discusses pleasant topics like the probabilities of his early demise, of his widow's remarriage and of trouble with the coffin in getting it downstairs. Moreover the consoler adds injury to insult by constantly drinking the sick man's beer, and giving him his medicine instead of the stimulant for which he constantly asks. Recommended for license. Ernest A. Bendall.
