Boodle
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
Boodle is an eminently respectable butler, desirous of marrying the housemaid, when a woman who has come after the situation of cook and has ignominiously failed to get the place, claims him as her husband. She proves however to be the widow of his deceased twin-brother, and he gets rid of her with a bribe for which he "writes out a cheque!" Harmless skit upon high life below stairs. Recommended for licence. Ernest A. Bendall.
