Examiner of Plays' Summary:

A lady-sneak-thief gets into the bedroom of a Judge at his hotel at night, her purpose being to rob him of his valuables whilst he is in bed asleep. She accidentally wakes him, and in the course of his indignant remonstrance upon her intrusion he reveals his name. Thereupon the girl changes her tactics and puts forward as her object the reduction of the sentence which the Judge has to pronounce next day upon her lover, a burglar whom she has been about to marry. Upon the Judge's refusal to promise leniency the girl threatens to ring the bell and rouse the hotel, thus compromising the worthy old gentleman, who in his pyjamas, will be found to be her host. Her impudent threat prevails, and with a kiss of gratitude for the Judge's enforced promise the saucy blackmailer triumphantly departs. Ernest A. Bendall.
