Examiner of Plays' Summary:

This ‘dramatic protean sketch’ is a stupid little play designed to enable six parts to be taken by two performers with quick changes. A female German spy, with her accomplice, an English captain, steals important documents from the colonel, and the blame is put on the captain’s brother, an honest private, but the true facts are exposed by the nerve and acuteness of ted, a drummer boy. I do not like the idea of the captain being a spy, but the piece is so silly and insignificant, and its interest so entirely confined to the quick changes of makeup that I think it can be safely passed.
