This piece is farce as to its substance and comedy as to its treatment, somewhat after the suburban manner of Keble Howard. Its subject is the tardy and reluctant revolt of anĀ amiable young husband - egged on by his dictatorial sister against the prolonged stay in the house of his sister-in-law, a pretty but aggressively selfish damsel who sacrifices everyone's comfort to her own playful whims. The husband is too fond of his weak wife, and she of her lively sister to cut short the latter's residence with them, until his own sister's verbal duel with the coquettish 'flapper' causes distress to his wife. Thereupon he proceeds to get rid of the giddy intruder by finding her a husband in a crony whom he tricks into a proposal of marriage. After the coup has been brought off [...]
