Examiner of Plays' Summary:

A dramatic American sketch of the private cross-examination of a prisoner, accused of murder, by a District Attorney, whose functions and methods seem to be akin to those of the similar legal official in France. For awhile the prisoner, who admits a previous intrigue and quarrel with his alleged victim, so bluffs and banters the Attorney that the latter, whose house he has visited as a friend, is convinced of his guilt, notwithstanding his statement that he could clear himself by proving an alibi if he were prepared to bring another woman's name into the case. This woman however, appears on the scene at the critical moment: and as she turns out to be the Attorney's sister-in-law, secretly married to the supposed murderer, theĀ latter's jeering triumph over the prosecutor is complete.
