Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

A very stupid farce. It is written in a muddled way, but the gist of it is that two men start a detective agency unknown to their wives; the wife of one writes that she wishes to divorce her husband; both wives arrive in turn and the men dodge about and disguise themselves; one wife pretends to be mad and gives her husband a baby which he hands on to the other man's wife. The dialogue is vulgar, but the only passage worth noticing is on page 11 where there is a joke about 'these little things leak out' in connection with the baby, which the manĀ 'puts on other arm'. This is unpleasant enough to be cut, I think. G. S. StreetĀ
