Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

A comedietta with its scene laid in the dressing room of Miss Mabel Russell, who, being late for the performance, is impersonated for a time by her dresser, this part being played by Miss Russell herself. By way of preliminary the dresser- whose husband is concealed in the room- has to deal, first with an irrepressible interviewer, and then with an importunate admirer. The chief fun arises from the husband's jealousy: and the harmless joke winds up with the arrival of Mabel Russell herself, and with misunderstandings all round. Ernest A. Bendall
