Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

This has been specially written for a performance in aid of the Croix Rouge Francaise. The first part begins with a sight burlesque of revues and their conventional types, with appropriate songs, and ends with a good song of champagne, the wine and the place, the latter part of course patriotic. The second part consists chiefly of a little pierrot play - Pierrot’s loves are taken away by a rich man and he drowns himself - and by a scene of hypnotism done by Delis End Morton, and leads up to the singing of the Marseillaise. It is entirely innocent so far as the script goes. Recommended for license. G. S. Street
