Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

An ingenuous and rather pretty sketch of the rivalry between an ignorant nouveau riche and his tutor-secretary for the hand of a girl with whom the latter is in love, but over whom the former has a hold through her father's pecuniary indebtedness to him. The characterisation, especially of the rough diamond who proves so generous in his hour of victory is rather strained; but the sentiment is sound throughout.
