Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

This is a revue with an apology for a plot in the device of an artful doctor for curing millionaires by relieving them of their money in his expensive 'sanatorium des riches'. It is a motive which dies out after the first scene; and the rest of the piece introduces miscellaneous burlesque of furniture-buying on the hire system, of imbecil pierrot performances, of tent-fixing under difficulties, of time-keeping at a factory, of the 'movies', and of fraudulent dog-selling. The fun is poor stuff, but quite inoffensive; the songs to be introduced by way of alleviation must be forwarded for approval. Recommended for Licence. Ernest A. Bendall. Songs now forwarded and approved. E. A. B. 16/5
