This is a melodrama of "crook life" in New York.The "woman" a kind of Nancy, is the wife of a brutal thief.He is killed by her lover, to save whose life the woman offers to write a false confession of the crime. Her lover however, disappoints her by his disloyalty in agreeing to sell the gang to the police, whereupon she shoots him dead and gives herself up to the punishment.
