Examiner of Plays' Summary:

Romantic melodrama of the old trans/[handwritten word I cannot read] order. Dissipated villain, in love with innocent girl, who consents to marry him in name only, that she may save her weak brother from financial ruin at his unscrupulous hand. Villain's accomplice, who by quarreling with him brings his plot to light too late to prevent the suicide of his male victim, and the consequent despair of his female one who runs away from her nominal "husband" only to find herself in the more ruthless hands of his former mistress. A new turn is given to the old chronicle of crime by causing the villain, through the ministrations of a child, to see the error of his devious ways, and to succeed miraculously in eventually winning "the love-kiss" from the forgiving woman he has blackmailed into marriage.
