This is a farcical sketch of the discovery by a cockney costermonger of the faithlessness of his sweetheart, a pickler at Curse and Blackmail's, whom he catches enjoying tea and shrimps with his rival, Curse's son. Disguised as a waiting-woman he serves his rival with the required refreshment, and then revenges himself by denouncing the lovers and announcing his own engagement to the proprietress of the tea-shop.
