The Girl with the Auburn Hair
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
The script of this "operatic burlesque" is quite inoffensive. The first scene is in a nursery. A number of girls say they are going on stage. Enter a "professor" and jokes about names follow. Then a song about the girl, etc, and afterwards a medley of songs from well-known operas. The second scene is a musical burlesque of melodrama - a chorus of villagers, a plot against a young squire exposed by a sailor and so forth. It seems all harmless enough. Rec for Lic. G. S. Street
