Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

This is a very sketchy revue, with its action laid partly in Ballinastoe and partly in New York. Such plot as it has shows how a cheery party of American Tourists introduce themselves at some Irish village-players, who get up an entertainment for them and please them so much that they are taken back with them as guests to America. For a time there is some love-making between the American hosts and the Irish guests, but the latter eventually grow homesick and decide to return to their native land and their former sweethearts. There is no hint of harm in the libretto; but there are many gaps for gag-scenes and songs the nature of which must be presumed to be innocent.
