Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

A miniature melodrama of the Wild West. The 'rough [sic] luck' an outlaw, who is accused of a murder which is really manslaughter only, and is caught by the Sheriff just when he is hoping to escape that he may watch over his wife in her approaching confinement. Partly by his own chivalrous behaviour towards the Sheriff and partly through the pleading of the Sheriff's daughter, the heart of that functionary is so softened towards him that he secures his release; but just when he is preparing to take advantage of it he receives news of his wife's death, and is killed - through heart-decease [sic] - by the shock. Quite human in spite of its crude violence: and Recommended for Licence. Ernest A. Bendall.
