Examiner of Plays' Summary:

The “boy in the street” is a little violinist, who is invited into the room of a middle-aged bachelor to play to him and the friend with whom he has been discussing a bygone love-affair, and a futile search for a girl – a governess – wronged in consequence of her threatened shame. When the small fiddler has entertained his hosts and has been liberally rewarded, it turns out that a “lady” is waiting for him outside. She, too, is fetched in, when it is promptly discovered that she is the long-lost victim, and that the boy is her son. So all ends happily with a promise of long-deferred re-union and marriage. A trifle strained, but only in the direction of kindly optimism. Recommended for License, Ernest A. Bendall.
