Jeannette Sherwin
Jeannette (Jeanette) Sherwin was born in London on 22 February 1884. She was the daughter of the Australian soprano Amy Sherwin and Hugo Goerlitz. In 1922 she played Mrs Clandon in a production of G.B. Shaw’s You Never Can Tell at the Everyman Theatre. In 1923 she married the actor James T. Jolley in New York. Between 1922 and 1929 she appeared eight times on the Broadway stage. Sherwin did not appear on the stage after 1930 and died on 8 July 1936 in Bromley of consumption.
