Charles Sudden died in August 1921. He was an actor and also amateur ring-master. He had turned his back on the stage prior to his death. The Aberdeen Press and Journal described him (12/08/1921) as 'handsome, dashing, fascinating, an athlete of repute - [who] won an English countess as his first wife, and for second a descendant of an old Bourbon family. He invented the double collar, and had one of the most wonderful collections of birds' eggs in the world, all gathered by himself'.
