The Dream
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
This is a piece of revue order, with many scenes and the minimum of story. This latter, which is a perfunctory vehicle for popular ditties, dances and "specialities", deals with the love-affair of a Colonel's daughter and a Lieutenant, who threatens to break it off because he has seen his lady-love being kissed by the Colonel's man-servant. It turns out however, that the kissed-one was really the comic maid-servant, masquerading in her mistress's cloak. All therefore ends well if fatuously. The songs to be introduced are stated to be all established ones. Recommended for license. Ernest A. Bendall.
