A musical comedietta or revue, telling the absurd story of a Trouville Innkeeper who poses as a Scotch Duke, in order to win the hand of the daughter of an American millionaire, who wants his girl to marry a title. For various reasons the whole party soon find themselves in Glengarry Castle, where it turns out that the heroine who is meant to become the bride of the bogus Duke, has taken matters into her own hands, and eloped with a Pierrot who turns out to be a peer.
